These timelines are ranges, not guarantees. Charting speed depends on competition, release day, and whether your music video is live on iTunes. The ranges below reflect what to realistically plan for.
Top 50
2–5 DaysUp to 1 week if it lands on a weekend or a large artist drops
Standard entry tier — most campaigns land here first
Typically takes 2 to 5 days with a healthy push
Can stretch to a full week when competing against weekend drops or major releases
Expect volatility — you may bounce in and out before stabilizing
Top 10
1 Week + 2 DaysWe may have to directly battle with people on the charts
Requires a sustained, concentrated push over roughly 9 days
At this level we are directly competing with other charting records
Budget and momentum must hold — any gap lets competitors reclaim position
Real-time monitoring and adjustments become essential
#1
1 Week (Minimum)Make sure your music video is on iTunes
Reaching #1 typically requires a full week of sustained pressure
A music video on iTunes significantly boosts charting weight — this is mandatory
Without the video on iTunes, the #1 push is handicapped from the start
This is the highest-investment tier — plan budget and assets accordingly
Music Video on iTunes — Non-Negotiable for #1
For a #1 push, your music video must be live on iTunes. The video carries significant charting weight; without it, the campaign is fighting uphill. Make sure it's uploaded, approved, and live before the push begins.
